If you want to synchronize your mailer (like Outlook or Outlook Express) you need to have it preinstalled on your main PC.

It also means that if you have synchronized Outlook® or Outlook® Express data and use Dmailer V7 on a visiting PC you can send and receive email even Outlook® or Outlook® Express isn’t preinstalled !

You have several options to free some space:
1 - Remove unneeded files from the
mobile device

The "Secure Browsing" option will allow you to browse securely on any PC with your Internet Explorer/Firefox favorites link. Indeed, when you use secure browsing all traces left by IE (cookies, history, temp files...) are stored on your Mobile Device, so you leave no trace on the remote PC.

4. How to?
Dmailer V7 doesn't install any component in your computer. All you have to do is launch the application from your mobile device and start using Dmailer V7.
If you are using a U3 mobile device you can use a DmailerS V7 U3
compatible version available at www.dmailer.org/download/Dmailer V7.u3p.zip
When Dmailer V7 U3 package downloaded open it and launch the file
Dmailer V7 U3 Edition
.exe and follow
the install process.
You’re done!
Use the dedicated menu: click on “File” then “Reset”.
Use the dedicated menu: click on “?” then “Update”.
For some obvious security
reasons, we prevent users from recovering data stored on their mobile device if they loose their password
.
If you have lost your password, click on “Forgot my password” and Dmailer V7
will be reset
. You now will have to
launch Dmailer V7 and to synchronize your data again

Reset your Dmailer V7
using the dedicated menu: click on “File” then “Reset”

3 - Select either "Check only this folder" or "Uncheck only this folder".

In order to send an email, simply enter your sender address and name and click

Dmailer V7 will then use its embedded SMTP server

It supports encrypted connections if supported by your SMTP server

In order to send email without entering everytime your name and SMTP server you can even configure your outgoing email settings before sending email.

authentication, use the "Advanced Settings" button to enter these
information.

To send all your outbox emails select the outbox in the folder list and click on the button 'Send All'.
To receive emails from your pop accounts directly into your mobile device you have to configure your Incoming emails settings by doing following steps:

You can get an old version of Dmailer V7 at http://www.dmailer.com/site/support/old_versions.html.
When you launch Dmailer V7, instead of opening your profile you need to click on "new profile". This allows Dmailer V7 to recognize that the current computer is the main computer.
It means that if you would like to synchronize another computer as the main (e .g . your personal computer) you just have to create another profile.
To do so you need first plug your Mobile Device into your PC1 and launch Dmailer V7 to set the PC1 profile:
- Name your profile (e.g. PC1 profile)
- Set the Outlook Data you will synchronize
- Set what kind of documents you will synchronize
- Set all other data and click on "ok"
Then the first synchronization will bring all your data (selected) and place it onto your Mobile Device.
Afterwards, unplug your device, plug it into PC2 and launch Dmailer V7.
Instead of logging into your PC1 profile click on the "new profile" button and select the PC2 profile (as you did with the first).
Using this process, you can syncrhonize data from two separate PCs with Dmailer V7.
You can merge Dmailer V7 restored folder with your outlook default item by doing following steps:
For your calendar:
- Open Outlook
- Click on Calendar
- Select Dmailer V7 Calendar
- Click on "View">"Range by">"Category"
(now all your appointments are arranged by category and you can select them to move from one folder to the another)
- Click on "Edit" and select "Move to Folder" and select the Outlook Calendar by default.
You can do the same thing with your contact, email, notes, etc...
When you modify a document from Dmailer V7 while you are working on a remote computer, you just need to click on ‘Save’ (as you do on your computer) and Dmailer V7 will correctly update it on its database when you close it.
You just need to type the email address you entered during your PURCHASE ORDER at http://www.dmailer.com/client/contact.jsp and we will automatically send you back your login and licence.
To do so you just need to click on the "view in HTML" button located on your email windows when you'll open it.
5. ERRORS.
This error is related to a conflict between Outlook and Eudora.
Solution: Disable Eudora's MAPI service.
Step 1: Open Eudora.
Step 2: From the "tools" menu, select "Options".
Step3: Click on MAPI in the scrolling category list.

Step 4: Under "use Eudora MAPI server", check the option
"Never".
Step 5: Click OK.
Step 6: Exit Eudora and restart Outlook® .
Step 7: Set your outlook as your default mail client. (See the previous note).
You probably use "VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i".
Solution: Contact McAfee support on http://ts.mcafeehelp.com. They’ll give you an Install patch to resolve it.
This error occurs if you restore your data into "My Documents" because the path could be too long.
Solution: Use the option "Restore in" and select a short destination path.
This error occurs when you
use BCM (Business Contact Manager)
.
This message is displayed by BCM when Dmailer V7 accesses its information
.
Solution: The problem doesn't occur if you are using Outlook and Dmailer V7
at the same time
.
If you get this error 0x40400001 message:
“Dmailer V7 could not fully synchronize your data Dmailer V7 could not access to your external device . Your external device may be full or disconnected . Please check if your external device is well connected, verify Dmailer V7 synchronization settings and try to synchronize again .”
Please check following
points before contact us:
- If you're using a cable extension in order to
connect your mobile device please plug it directly to your computer
and launch the application
.
- Check if you have enough space on your mobile device
.
- Reset your data and sync again
.
If during the synchronization setting you got the following message:
"Dmailer V7 could not connect to Outlook®."
you need to set Outlook as your default email client.
To do so you need to :
launch Internet Explorer,
click on Tools > Internet Options>Programs,
and select Outlook® in the 'Email' section.
